Help With The Annexations Process

Annexation is a process of bringing the property into the city limits. It is a process of adding new territory to an existing municipal corporation by the action of a legislative body. The annexation process begins when a petition is submitted to the governing body of an incorporated municipality, requesting that it extend its corporate boundaries to include the area being petitioned for annexation. We will prepare and publish an ordinance describing in detail what will happen with regard to zoning, taxes, and other issues such as schools and utilities.
